Scientific Name: Neobalanocarpus heimii (Family: Dipterocarpaceae) Utilisation: The timber is suitable for all forms of heavy construction, railways sleepers, bridges, wharves, ppower-line poles, heavy-duty furniture and flooring. A favourite timber used for boat building by local boat builders.
